Flow Down Business Mentoring
Build a private practice that works, and lasts.
Counselling training teaches you to work with clients. It rarely teaches you how to find them, price your work, or run a sustainable business.
That’s what this programme is for. Six practical, one-to-one sessions for newly qualified counsellors, and for counsellors a few years in who want more clients or fairer fees.
Clinical experience meets real business experience
I’m Jordan Gooch, a PNCPS Accredited counsellor and EMDR therapist, CPCAB Approved Counselling Tutor, and qualified mentor (Level 3 Award in Mentoring Practice).
Before counselling, I spent fifteen years in recruitment, consistently a high biller: eight years with a multinational, then seven years as director of my own recruitment company. I also hold a BA (Hons) in Business Studies & Entrepreneurship.
When I opened my own counselling practice, I used that experience to build it from scratch. Within two years it was full, with clients finding me through my website and directories. Over the years, I’ve also informally supported other counsellors as they set up successful practices of their own.
I don’t teach business theory. I teach what I’ve done in my own practice.
What you’ll come away with
Fees you can set and explain with confidence
A clear plan for being found, online and locally
A steady flow of enquiries, and a way to turn them into clients
Simple systems for contracts, cancellations and tax
A practice that supports you, rather than burning you out
The six sessions
Foundations: your niche, your fees, and the numbers behind a sustainable practice
Being found: directories, your website and local search
Enquiry to client: replying well, running a free consultation, and turning enquiries into clients
The admin side: client agreements, cancellations, record keeping, insurance and tax habits
Sustainability: your caseload, breaks, spotting burnout early, and reviewing your fees
Review: your personal practice plan for the next six months
How it works
The full programme: six one-hour sessions online, usually fortnightly (weekly if you prefer). £540, or £450 for founding places. Pay upfront, or a session at a time in advance.
Single sessions: £100. Choose any topic from the programme, or bring your own question.
Not sure which? Book a free 20-minute call and we’ll work out what you need.
Practical: what to do and why, not step-by-step software help
Please note: business mentoring is separate from clinical supervision. We focus on the business side of your practice, and you’ll keep working with your clinical supervisor on all client and clinical matters.
